Villagers pause to pray to Allah while Marines from India Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment stand guard around the area during a training evolution Oct. 12 at Marine Corps Training Area Bellows. The villagers posed no threat to the Marines whose objective was to make communication with the village leader and gain information about possible weapons caches, insurgents and upcoming attacks. The village scenerio was one of several training missions the Marines participated in over the course of one day in order to prepare them for their upcoming deployment to Iraq.
