May 12, 2005: During a mission by 2nd Platoon, Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines escorting the Battalion Executive Officer to India Company, an improvised explosive device was detonated in the vicinity of the Humvee, resulting in a mobility kill to the vehicle.
