Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device

NAMProfessional achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as Squad Leader, 1st Platoon, Company I, 3d Battalion, 3d Marines, Regimental Combat Team-7, I Marine Expeditionary Force Forward, from March to September 2006, in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Leading his squad on over 200 combat patrols in the city of Haditha, Corporal Noble ensured success through his meticulous planning, calm leadership, and tactical prowess. His tactical ability and natural instincts for counter-insurgency operations were directly reflected in the professionalism and tactical expertise of his squad. On 20 June 2006, Corporal Noble’s squad was attacked by enemy forces from multiple locations. Corporal Noble calmly, quickly and decisively directed fire on the enemy positions, gaining fire superiority and dislodging the attackers. His quick actions and calmness under fire disrupted an enemy complex attack and ensured the safety of every member of his squad. Corporal Noble’s initiative, perseverance, and total dedication to duty reflected credit upon him and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.
